Operation Christmas Child
In Term 4, the Joeys will be participating in 'Operation Christmas Child', an initiative that aims to deliver a shoebox filled with Christmas goodies to children in developing countries. The Joeys will be choosing and purchasing the items to pack into their boxes, decorating them and writing letters to the recipients.
Following the success of our day spent door-knocking for the Red Shield Appeal in May this year, the Leaders have been looking for ways that the Joeys can actively "care and share", and we hope this activity will be something the children can easily relate to.
If you would like to donate to this activity, please contact Erin at erinverberne@gmail.com before Tues 6/10/15 (all funds will be used on a Joey night to purchase items for the boxes, any leftover money will be donated directly to Samaritan's Purse).
